Who is a Partner?

A partner in missions is a person with a heart for sharing the love of Jesus with others, someone with a mission heart. A partner knows the impact of having Jesus Christ in their life, and they are intent on sharing that incredible relationship through mission outreach.

What is the Partnership?

Texas Partners in Mission asks individuals to do any and all of three things:

1. Prayer Partner.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message. Colossians 4: 2,3a

A partner will pray that our Heavenly Father will richly bless our missionaries and the outreach to the lost in our Texas District. A partner will give God thanks and praise for His gracious gifts in our lives and to Texas Partners in Mission.

2. Area Partner.

Therefore go and make disciplines of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:18

The world is moving to Texas! Texas Partners in Mission supports new mission ministries of the Texas District - LCMS. Through your involvement, you become part of touching thousands of people with God's love and message of forgiveness. You spread the word through our new and existing life-changing ministries. An Area Partner will encourage others to hear the story of mission outreach in our Texas District. The Director of Development is available to help the Area Partner plan events to help tell this exciting story.

3. Financial Partner

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. 1 Chronicles 29:14

You can make an eternal difference! The mission field in Texas is booming. To adequately field missions, individuals who have a heart and passion for reaching those who don't know Christ must step forward. Your support of Texas Partners in Mission will make an eternal difference in the lives of those who do not yet have the hope of Christ that you and I are blessed with.
100% of donations go to Mission Ministry.

• Give as an individual, couple, or family.
• Give through your church, designated budgetary gift, a special fundraiser/event, or designated gift.
• Give a special or annual gift through your ladies group LWML, men's group, bible study, teen group, Sunday school.
• Give and have your gift matched.

How can I have my gift matched?

For more than 100 years, the Church Extension Fund of the Texas District has provided a partnership between people who were willing to invest their money in a fund which provides loan funding to help Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod ministries in the Texas District with special projects. Church Extension Fund is an incredible blessing from God to our Texas District.

Texas Partners in Mission was started 10 years ago to support mission outreach within the Texas District. Through the work of Directors of Development John Goeke and Gary Einem, individuals, congregations, ladies aides and conferences have become partners. Michael Fuchs is the current Director of Development. To date, over 80 missions receive support from the Texas District, of which approximately half are English speaking missions and half reflect the languages of the people groups being served.

INCREDIBLE PARTNERSHIP... If you want to double your gift, the Church Extension Fund has a deal for you. The official title of this program is 100PLUS1, but around the Texas District we are beginning to call this partnership, “The Texas Two Step”:

1. If you invest at least $5,000 in a new Church Extension Fund Account, and
2. Make a gift of at least $1,000 to Texas Partners in Mission, then
3. The Church Extension Fund will match you gift by 100%, and
4. The Church Extension Fund will pay you a 1% bonus on the term of your investment.

Over $760,000 has been matched for Texas Partners in Mission and
over $12,000,000 has been received in new investments
in the Texas District Church Extension Fund.
