Mission Statement: I am a heaven-bound, joyful servant leader, encouraging others to experience the abundance of the discipled Christian life.

Ministry Vision: By functioning as a servant-leader, I assist congregations to live out a Great Commission focused ministry through leadership training, coaching of leaders, facilitation of strategic vision discernment, and consultation. In all of these endeavors, I help congregations keep their eyes focused on God’s love shown in the death and resurrection of Jesus to save a dying and broken world. I seek every opportunity to assist the congregations of Area B of the Texas District to seek out and utilize the strategic opportunities God has placed before them to engage and confront their community with the radical and exclusive claims of the Gospel through expansion of on-site ministry and the planting of new ministries and congregations.

Core Values

1. It is important for me to maintain purity of heart and actions before God.

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. {2} But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. {3} He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

2. I live in a state of Grace-filled forgiveness which empowers me to be honest about my own failings to God and others.

James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

3. It is central to my life that I witness to the salvation and joy I find in Jesus Christ at every opportunity.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””

4. Empowering others to live purposeful, mission focused lives is key to the use of the Spiritual Gifts given me by the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:12-13 “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up {13} until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

5. I strive to be a loving, supportive and empowering husband to Becky.

Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her”

6. Being a caring and encouraging witness to my children Jennifer and Michael is a critical part of my life.

Psalms 78:3-4 what we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. {4} We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.

7. It is vital for me to live and model Christ-like servanthood in all relationships with others.

Matthew 20:26-28 “whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, {27} and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-- {28} just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Personal Theme Verse: Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," His Word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
